As each year at the same time, the dive sites of Tenerife welcome new visitors: the Manta Rays.
These fishes, which are the large migrating ones, get closer to the Canarian coasts at this time of the year in search for food, primarily made up of plankton but also of small shellfish or small fish. This specie (Mobula tarapacana) can reach 3 metres of wingspan and represents no danger for the divers. Although these meetings are punctual and unpredictable, they remain not less magic. Diving with mantas is an extraordinary experience. They are not afraid of human being and in certain occasions, do not hesitate to get very close to the divers, by swimming slowly and majestically around them.
